There’s no secret that I love experimenting with different colors. Some people say that black and white are the most classy and elegant but do they suit each of us? I’m sure we can make it work but do we look fresh, vibrant and flattering in these colors?
As I’m trying to be minimalistic when it comes to my wardrobe I avoid collecting pieces which I don’t use very often. Even though I’m obsessed with many colors I have realized that I should mostly buy quality products which colors suits me best instead of buying clothing in colors that I like.
Finding my color paltette was the most helpful step in organising and decluttering my wardrobe. How I’ve done it?
I’ve started by defining My Season. As you might know there are four seasons which determine whether you look better in warmer or cooler palette (Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring). And between those four seasons you can also find palettes perfect for Light or True type of each look. Light is usually a person with some characteristics of two seasons and a True type is someone who perfectly reflects the color palette in one season.
My favorite colors have always been: Red, Yellow, Pink, Camel and Blue but learning which shades of these colors look best on me helped me a lot with more concious shopping. My hair is a warmer shade of blonde, I’ve got blue eyes, and my skin is more peachy than pink. I’ve learned that I’m True Spring.

After learning which colors are in my palette I’ve chosen colors that are not only my favorite but also that look most flattering on me. I’ve learned that gray doesn’t look best on me ( even when it’s very light) and I wouldn’t wear silver jewellery.
These colors look best on me:
Red – Coral Red, Brick Red, Tomato Red, Orange Red
Yellow- Lemon Yellow, Mustard
Pink – Salmon, Coral, Peachy Pink
Blue – Navy Blue ( warmer shade), Sky Blue
Orange, Ecrue, Camel, Beige
Does it mean that I shouldn’t wear cooler tones at all? By adding some warmer tones like camel and gold to black I could possibly make it work but I should definitely be careful when wearing darker and cooler tones.
I hope this post make you consider your season and will be a guideline when looking for some new pieces this beautiful fall season.
